We mediate data transmission using the latest wireless technology. Our devices communicate via IoT networks of Sigfox and LoRa operators.
Sigfox is a leading global service provider
in the field of the Internet of Things. The company has built a worldwide network to connect billions of devices to the Internet while consuming as little electricity as possible. Currently, the network is in more than 36 countries around the world, and by the end of 2018, there are 60 countries with a total population of 658 million people. With millions of connected devices and a rapidly growing partner ecosystem, Sigfox allows companies to move their business model more towards digital services.
The Czech operator is SimpleCell. The network is being built in cooperation with T-Mobil, which provides its infrastructure for the location of base stations.
The advantage is a large range in the field, dense signal coverage in the Czech Republic, transparent roaming without additional charges.
The disadvantage is the limited sending of messages with a small amount of data, especially one-way communication and limited communication on the go.
Typical areas of hundreds of applications are smart homes, smart agriculture, water, electricity, gas readings, security equipment, logistics, temperature monitoring during transport and storage, care for the elderly, precipitation and flow measurements on flooded streams, etc.
LoRa is a communication radio / wireless network spread in the 868Mhz frequency band, optimized for the communication of thousands of devices, sensors and transducers. The national network operator in the Czech Republic is České Radiokomunikace.
The advantage is two-way communication, the length of communication messages
and a quick possibility of project coverage. The disadvantage is the shorter range
in the order of hundreds of meters.
LoRa enables the use of the Internet of Things in areas such as energy (smart metering), smart manufacturing and industry (great potential
in industry projects 4.0), transport and logistics and great practical potential is in the field of city administration and municipal services.
